Are there any governorship races coming up this year?
...and w/ B.H.Zer0BAMBI'S control of the Media / Unions / NEA & the 4 branches of Government; a very chilling prospect.
Excellent!
...an excellent point.
Short / concise message.
"Unless the GOP screws it up..."
They could still figure out how to do that.
They need a good candidate (different from those usually mentioned).
And they will need all of the factions of their coalition especially conservatives.
The candidate has to be a "fusionist" with enough charisma to bring all of those together.
Suggestions?
Bet on the GOP to handwarp gift Obama a second term....
And there's the crux. Too many did too little for way too long and the end result is a GOP as totally corrupt (if maybe a bit better meaning) as the 'Rats.
If you can't retake it lock, stock & barrel (and I see ZERO movement in that direction in this forum) sink the barge, build a new ship. And pray.
America -- a great idea, didn't last.
Let's not forget that Obama and the people around him are very, very clever, and they are clever enough to come up with excuses and reasons why Obama does not have to provide legal documents to prove that he is eligible to be President of the United States under the laws of the Constitution of the United States.
For instance, Obama's camp will no doubt come up with clever legal reasons why President Obama does not have to provide his Hawaii long form birth certificate when he signs routine eligibility forms required in most states before a presidential candidate can get his name on the state primary ballots.
Yes, Obama will be a most difficult candidate to defeat in 2012 if he runs for a second term for President of the United States. No doubt about it.
The best thing that happened in 2008 in politics was Hillary not being elected to the White House.
Admittedly, it was a very bad year all around.
That’s ten reasons - and nothing really bad has happened yet!
IF the GOP screws it up? LOL!
IF????
They will. Bet on it. They are already planning on it.
I have to give them some hope right?
Tell me about it. I’ve been a N.O. Saints fan for the past 40 years.
They come out too strong preaching social issues then they will lose.
______________
They had better not remain too silent on thise “social issues.” THis is a flawed and mythical mentality. That was what McCain tried to do — and a WHOLE LOT of the Conservative Base didn’t take too kindly to it. By the way — McCain lost. Perhaps a REAGAN approach would be better — you might remember that Reagan didn’t shy away from “social issues,” and he won LANDSLIDES — TWICE.
I did say “too strong preaching”.
Reagan ran against a very weak Carter and again with Mondull.
His fiscal conservatism and strong defense stance were the winning formula and the primary message.
Your math is impeccable.
The GOP is dead. The GOP voters will never have enough sense to take the lesser of the two evils and just win one for the gipper for Christ sake. And the GOP leadership will never have enough sense to put conservatives in charge and stop pandering to the left.
First off I'm voting for Palin 100%. I can't be swayed from that position.
But the big problem with GOP voters now is that they will let Obama win again just because they can't stand to see a guy like Romney win. I'll vote for Romney in a heartbeat if he gets the nomination.
