Iranians have shown the most guts of any culture since the Russians or Romanians in the 80s. To have the gall to say that we can teach them anything is absurd.
Which elections were such an absolute farce as to warrant taking to the streets and overthrowing the government?
There have been none.
Has their been abuse? Yes. Has there been some fraud, even significant in some cases? Yes.
Has it reached a point where we need to have a civil war and turn it over? No for me...not yet.
Clinton was elected on minorities, but done so after Perot got in and split the vote. I do not believe we lost as a result of a failed voting process...we lost because we got split.
Do you believe Bush the election from Gore?
I don't. The Surpeme Court, as is its duty, got into that when called upon and ruled that the vote was counted correctly...and if anything, the freaud was on the other side and Bush even had more votes.
There was definite vote fraud in the 2008 Presidential election (and there is some in all of them), but not enough to overcome the results, and the law is looking into it...just as it has with past elections and people have been prosecuted and put away.
I still believe...just as I did during the Carter years when conditions were about as bad, and worse in some areas, that we can turn this around at the next vote ifd we will get involved...in this case in 2010 and 2012.
We do not need an armed rebellion at this point. But millions of us are armed and remained prepared for one just the same. I do not know about you, but I am continually writing my reps and senators, and posting articles, to remind them of why wa stay armed.
If the time came, we would use them.
