US Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) sent a letter to President Barack Obama last week criticizing the latter for his administration's heavy pressure on Israel to be the facilitator of the Middle East peace process.
Reid noted that Israel has already met many of its peace obligations, while the Palestinians after 15 years have not fulfilled even their most basic commitments, namely to recognize the Jewish state's right to exist and eliminate the threat of anti-Israel Palestinian terrorism.

Hmmmm.....
I still hope he gets thrown out on his ass next year.
This sounds like some form of ‘rat game of good cop-bad cop.
Nope, can’t trust it...
Reid saying something that makes sense? Are you sure this isn’t Scrappleface?
I’m guessing he doesn’t think he’s going to get elected back to the Senate, and he’s trying to appease the Jewish population of Nevada.
Or I have a re-election in 2010 and you are off until 2012, so I am going to act like I am scolding you to garner favor with Jewish campaign contributors. Yeah, basically good cop bad cop until Iran has to lob a missile at Israel to deflect their public’s attention.
It’s fundraising season for 2010 and Dingy Harry is up for re-election.
I don’t trust Harry Reid or any other Rat — especially when they are making “conservative” noises.
This has to be a grand slam for Reid: Obama’s ratings tanking, Ensign dealing with issues at home and Reid has sane input on Israel/Palestine.
Lets hope he’s seeing the end of his senate run and want to protect his ‘legacy’.
“Im guessing he doesnt think hes going to get elected back to the Senate,”
You and I agree. Nevada make it happen!
Has the content of this Harry Reid letter been made it to the mainstream media and been covered there?
Harry knew what a jerk the ‘Great Tool’ was when he supported him. Why bother trying to correct him now?
And thus, my tagline:
vaudine
correction—doners =donors
This is Exhibit A as to why Netanyahu should completely disregard any perceived “pressure”applied to his government by Obama, Clinton or Mitchell. It simply does not reflect the Congress or the American people, and therefore cannot be considered the “position of the U.S. government”. It is not. And absolutely NOTHING will happen if Israel ignores the Administration and buyild all the settlements it wants.
Check Sen Harry Reid’s bank account...
