No lightning here in the Evergreen state. We use a tall gallows and a short rope (or a kinder, gentler needle if they choose).

It's always amazed me that such a socialist state like my dear old Washington would still follow the code of the Old West and hang 'em high. :D

My only complaint is that the authorities don't do it more often...

Actully, now the needle is the default, but you can opt for the gallows.
