Imagine if Bush went for ice cream the day of Hurricane Katrina.
Taking advice from none other than Jimmy Carter, no doubt.
I have two words about PBO: Nevile Chamberlain.
I expect obama to have ice cream, go on an expensive date with his wife or girlfriend (boyfriend?), or have TOTUS give a speech. I would expect the President of the United States (if we had a real president) or the leader of the free world (if Sarah had the power) to ... lead. Obviously, obama has no clue on how to lead, or how to use the bully pulpit to influence events with an approach somewhere in between war and swatting a fly.

CBS's Mark Knoller Compares Movie Theaters to Big Oil
CBS White House correspondent Mark Knoller hinted he wouldn't mind seeing liberal consumers groups tackle hefty snack prices at the nation's movie theaters.
Older and wiser I cried for the young, afraid for their future through Clinton. Because he ignored the growth of it.
Obama, however, is Death Himself. Of course Obama goes out for a family Ice Cream on this day of when Basiji, Hezbullah and Hamas are set loose to slaughter in Iran. It is like a day of comfort to him.
He makes me want to puke, and not in a good way, if there was ever a good way to puke -- there is, it is a action against swallowing some poisons. But Obama's poison is not by mouth.
I want to puke because we, America, are sick and Obama stands here aside scythe in hand. I shiver from the national poisons we have taken in.
Obama enjoys his ice cream cones.

I am one of those “morons”.
Those “morons” are also Iranians who are trying to be free from an Islamic government.
If you don’t like Twitter, that’s fine. Don’t call those who do use Twitter, morons.
Thanks
We need to come up with media kneepads.
And based on either history or legend, not only did Nero fiddle while Rome burned - HE BURNED IT.
Apparently Mr. Nero liked to destroy things, so he could rebuild them. One day, he decided to burn Rome...well, the Romans were pretty pissed, so Nero needed to find a scapegoat...he did...Christians.
So began some of the most prolific persecution of Christians known in that day, including rolling Christians in pitch, setting them in Nero's garden, and lighting them on fire...to light Nero's gardens.
I guess I know where ballerina Rahm Emmanuel got the expression "never let a crisis go to waste"...
I have refused to buy their communist socialist ice cream for years. If others want to eat it, good on them. I ain’t buying it!
I have known a lot of Iranians. I met a few when I was in the USN back in the mid-seventies, and I went to college with quite a few.
If I had to choose one country over in the Middle East to be allied with (besides Israel) it would be Iran, if only they could get out from under that thugocracy.
I have found them to be smart, practical and in possession of a good sense of humor. To this day, I revile the Carter administration for what it did to the Shah of Iran. He wasn’t perfect, but at least he was attempting to pull Iran out of the 7th Century. And he was succeeding.
President Obama made another stop on his culinary tour of the Washington region on Saturday, dropping by the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria for a cool afternoon treat. He walked through the doors of The Dairy Godmother with daughters Sasha and Malia in an unannounced visit that startled those inside the bustling neighborhood custard shop.
At this boutique on Mount Vernon Avenue, the sign indicates that the line forms to the right. But Mr. Obama and his small entourage went to the left, bypassing the crowd. No one seemed to mind, store employees said later, as people strained their necks to see what the Obama family was ordering.

I like Cheetos.
Didn't work then; won't work now.
The “timeline” was an off the cuff reference intended to make a point.
The point I was trying to make (which is clear and undeniable) was that the Shah was making every effort to bring Iran into the modern world kicking and screaming, just as Ataturk did with Turkey.
