“Tomorrow is a big day, maybe I’ll get killed tomorrow!” [Iran]
naicINsight (translated from Iranian blog) ^ | June 19, 2009 | unknown

“I will participate in the demonstrations tomorrow. Maybe they will turn violent. Maybe I will be one of the people who is going to get killed. I’m listening to all my favorite music. I even want to dance to a few songs. I always wanted to have very narrow eyebrows. Yes, maybe I will go to the salon before I go tomorrow! There are a few great movie scenes that I also have to see. I should drop by the library, too. It’s worth to read the poems of Forough and Shamloo again. All family pictures have to be reviewed, too. I have to call my friends as well to say goodbye. All I have are two bookshelves which I told my family who should receive them. I’m two units away from getting my bachelors degree but who cares about that. My mind is very chaotic. I wrote these random sentences for the next generation so they know we were not just emotional and under peer pressure. So they know that we did everything we could to create a better future for them. So they know that our ancestors surrendered to Arabs and Mongols but did not surrender to despotism. This note is dedicated to tomorrow’s children…”

Wow. Thanks PapaBear3625. May tomorrow see the deaths of the Iranian mullahs and the destruction of the despotate that rules Iran.

For some reason that statement just left me in awe. Cant figure out why though.

Does "Live Free Or Die" resonate?

For all those Iranians that want to be free from the oppression of the government. Freedom lovers around the world are pulling for you.. But you should know that you have to seize it. And it will cost. Don’t give in.

Well, HuffPo knows that if the Iranian people overthrow the mullahcracy, Obama will get the credit for it and be seen as foresighted for having made the kiss-ass speech in Cairo. They also know that it doesn’t cost them anything to give lip service to supporting the students, but they’d pay big here in the US for *not* doing it. Y’know, since so many of the Kos and HuffPo wanks (iow, Obama supporters) are sanctimonious self-righteous lib larvae.

I'd seen it w/o subtitles and it was powerful. It's so much more with the subtitles. An anonymous voice cries for her people.

Transcript

Tomorrow is Saturday. Tomorrow is a day of destiny.

Tonight, the cries of Allah-o Akbar are heard louder and louder than the nights before.

Where is this place? Where is this place where every door is closed? Where is this place where people are simply calling God? Where is this place where the sound of Allah-o Akbar gets louder and louder?

I wait every night to see if the sounds will get louder and whether the number increases. It shakes me. I wonder if God is shaken.

Where is this place that where so many innocent people are entrapped? Where is this place where no one comes to our aid? Where is this place that only with our silence we are sending our voices to the world? Where is this place that the young shed blood and then people go and pray -- standing on that same blood and pray. Where is this place where the citizens are called vagrants?

Where is this place? You want me to tell you? This place is Iran. The homeland of you and me.

This place is Iran.

That is what I keep hoping for. Someone who is up high enough and has seen enough corruption to know that these are not religious men who will take them all out. If the Mullahs were gone the government will fall.

To stand up and be counted when it really counts. How many Tea Partiers would have been there if there were troops beating them?

Many of the signs I have seen and comments being made at the demonstrations are geared towards just that end...overthrowing the Mullahs and Islamic rule...noy just trading for a so-called moderate Islamic.

They are rsiking their lives for the future of their children and grandchildren and country. God bless and keep those who are so doing.

Do the Iranians have access to weapons? I’m sure disarming the Iranian people was Job #1 under Khomeini. (They could get them from their brethren in Iraq and Afghanistan.)

The "politically unreliable" are always disarmed under totalitarian regimes. But most of the guys serve a term in the military, so they know how to use guns. All it would take is for some military guys to "misplace" a truck full of guns and ammo, here and there.

"My suspicion is that the govt wants to find out who is going to send pro-rebellion messages,..."
Good point. I'll be off to work soon not to get home till after 11PM so I will not be monitoring the activities today.

I'm hoping that what we're seeing is a bunch of young people who are sick of it all

God bless the optimists.

This poor soul only sees anti western mohammedan green subhumans.

It may take another 100 years, but they either start playing Baseball and drinking beer, or its a genocidal war that they lose.
