I haven't offered my views on the Constitution because I don't think it's an issue here. It doesn't surprise me that Ron Paul *does* think it's an issue though. He's entitled to his opinion just as you are.

Don't say though, that nobody's ever explained to you why we're there. That's the only reason I responded to you. If you want to debate the Constitutional merits of it, then I'm not interested.

I know perfectly well why we are there. I supported the removal of Saddam and his sons. They were evil sadistic tyrants.

It does not change the fact that our government is violating the constitution and the war powers act.

Going to war without an official declaration by congress is a blatant circumvention of the constitution.

Remaining on Afghan and Iraqi soil without an official declaration of war is a violation of the constitution.

Like it or not........it is about the constitution.
