Iran doesn't have ICBMs - yet, but they have money, which means they can get them. You don't necessarily need an ICBM even to deliver a "Fat Man/Little Boy" package, on sea-going vessel or an airliner.

I agree with avoiding foreign entanglements, but it is not a one-sided deal. Just because we want to make make peace won't necessarily prevent an attack.
