The U.S. Senate, by unanimous consent, passed a resolution apologizing for slavery and racial segregation, according to reports.
Republican Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas, one of the sponsors, said the measure was no panacea, but could help trigger reconciliation.

That was just for "bus fare" and "seed corn". I'm talkin' reparations for 4000 years of historical abuse, inconvenience and hassle!

America inherited the institution and mindset of slavery from the Europeans — and the Spanish imported far more slaves than the English ever did. It took the United States some time to shake off the deeply ingrained slave culture, but it did. Instead, let the Europeans apologize for slavery and colonization of much of the world!
How about a thank you from some of those folk to me for his service??? BTW, he died relatively young from TB caught in the trenches of Vicksburg.
