If you want to score a meeting with Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.), know this: His scheduler/office manager, Elizabeth Becton, is to be addressed by her full name not Liz or any other variant.
An executive assistant at McBee Strategic recently learned this the hard way. A few weeks ago, the assistant e-mailed Becton seeking a meeting with McDermott and a client, JPMorgan Chase. Days later, the assistant checked back in and unfortunately began the e-mail with Hi Liz.

You know, if a guy had broken into her apartment, bent her forcibly over a coffee table, and violated her with a broken bottle while saying “You like that Liz?”, I might understand. Anything else and this woman is an unbridled bitch.
“Barbara Boxer went off today on a Brig General today because he called he ma’am instead of Senator.”
Really!? What is the protocol for addressing a U.S. Senator? If you ever meet the Queen of England (and Canada); you first call her “Your Majesty”, after that “ma’am” is the proper term.
There are so many nicknames derived from Elizabeth, I wouldn’t assume anything if I got an email signed by “Elizabeth”. The ones who insist on being called “elizabeth” are usually control freaks! She’d really go nuts with folks here in Buffalo who shorten everyones name to one syllable.
I think it happened two days ago, and the bitch has a right as a senator to be address as she pleases. How petty can you get!
