It is perfectly acceptable to call a male Senator “Sir” is it not?
What an egomaniac!

See I disagree that’s a reasonable request I would think. “Sir” and “Ma’am” are generic terms, we refer to Senators, Congressman, and Presidents by title.

She worked hard to earn another title—bitch.
To: pissant
Did she call him “General” or ‘boy’?
To: pissant
Mrs. Boxer, as one of your constituents, there are several things I’d like to call you and “senator” is not one of them.

To: pissant
There is no regulation, rule or law that requires this or any other deference with regard to our so-called “public servants”.

To which he should have replied, “Certainly, Senator. And would you please address me as ‘General’? I’ve worked hard for that title, too.”

Trust me Boxer, among intelligent people, who pay attention to current events, “ma’am” is a much more complimentary salutation then the odious “Senator”.

OK, I’ll say it. SENATOR Boxer is a f***ing idiot!
She is also a supercilious, small-minded, self-centered harridan.
Boy, now there’s a word you don’t often see.

The General knows more about respect — and has more in his little finger — than many of the idiots in Washington. Especially her.
To: pissant
No, ma’am, I can’t. It’s just a military thing.

""Do me a favor," she said, "could say 'senator' instead of 'ma'am?' It's just a thing, I worked so hard to get that title, so I'd appreciate it, yes, thank you." Translation, "I spent a lot of other people's money to get where I am..."
Of course, every polititian will say that taking donations doesn't influence their votes. I always wondered who was more gullible, the people giving them their money or the people who believe it doesn't influence their vote...

Judge Randolph: Lieutenant, do you have anything further for this witness?
Col. Jessep: Thanks, Danny. I love Washington.
Kaffee: Excuse me. I didn't dismiss you.
Col. Jessep: I beg your pardon?
Kaffee: I'm not finished with my examination. Sit down.
Col. Jessep: Colonel!
Kaffee: What's that?
Col. Jessep: I would appreciate it if he would address me as Colonel or Sir. I believe I've earned it.
Judge Randolph: Defense counsel will address the witness as Colonel or Sir.
Col. Jessep: [to Judge] I don't know what the hell kind of unit you're running here.
Judge Randolph: And the witness will address this court as Judge or Your Honor. I'm quite certain I've earned it. Take your seat, Colonel.

"ma'am" boxer is both arrogant and ignorant. Ma'am is the tern of highest respect.
