Are you confused by all that has changed since President Barack Obama took office in January? If so, you're not alone. Perhaps, though, this handy guide to Age of Obama "logic" might be of some assistance.
1. The Budget. Wanting to cut $17 billion from the budget, as President Obama has promised, is proof of financial responsibility. Borrowing $1.84 trillion this year for new programs is "stimulus." The old phrase "out-of-control spending" is inoperative.
2. Unemployment. The number of jobs theoretically saved, or created, by new government policies - not the actual percentage of Americans out of work, or the total number of jobs lost - is now the far better indicator of unemployment.
3. The Private Sector. Nationalizing much of the auto and financial industries, while regulating executive compensation, is an indication of our new government's repeatedly stated reluctance to interfere in the private sector.

These are not good times. Nevertheless, I can’t help feeling that there is some faction of dem house members who don’t want to lose the republic, or their seats. They have to come to their senses soon.

” Nevertheless, I cant help feeling that there is some faction of dem house members who dont want to lose the republic, or their seats. They have to come to their senses soon.”
The only thing a DemonRAT fears is losing their power and privileges associated with their getting reelected. They have no other guiding principles, so don't make the mistake of attributing higher or more noble motives to them. Politicians, and primarily DemonRAT politicians no longer fear us, the citizens, it is we who now live more in fear of our government than we do of foreign terrorists.
They have created a larger balance of permanent voting block welfare recipients that are going to be very difficult to overcome. They have learned to game the system masterfully, and they have the majority of media outlets on their side.
They are stacking the courts in their favor, and they are expert at keeping conservatives off the bench when they are out of the majority. The Republicans are not only lost in the wilderness, they are being kept there by the media.
Who do you see the media interviewing for opposing viewpoints, if they even bother? John McCain. I've lost all respect for senator McCain, and the reasons are many. Primarily because he's more interested in maintaining the “collegial spirit” among his fellow legislators than he is on standing up for principles.
We see daily Unconstitutional power grabs by the administration, and not a peep of protest from the Republicans. How are we to take back control of an out of control government when no one in the government is on our side? We need not only bigger and better turnouts at “tea party” events, but we need undeniably large demonstrations in Washington. And they must be when congress is not out on vacation.
That list is double-plus good!

I just had a coversation with my mechanic while replacing some wheel bearings. I asked if he had heard about the Walpin firing. He gets his news from local papers and tv. He had not!
I explained it to him (62 yo) and he shook his head. I shook mine, too. I will be in DC for the 4th. I hope to see lots of folk protesting. If those who see what is happening in Iran would get some fervor, we could take our country back without firing a shot!!!

GWBush was inarticulate...so they say It appeared to me, "W" had a hard time reading the teleprompter.
When he was speaking from the heart off script, he was as good as any of them.
But that's just my opinion.
