Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill has become the first Democrat to question the White House over the firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin. McCaskill, who, like Republican Sen. Charles Grassley, is a champion of inspectors general, co-wrote the 2008 legislation requiring the president to give 30 days' notice, and cause, before firing an inspector general.

Wow. Now that's a Senator with guts. If only Republicans showed as much determination. . .

I will be interested to see how this guy is treated. i would not be surprised if this guy gets slammed by other Democrats and the White House.

I’m not surprised. What I suspect will happen is a very short token investigation and it will be dropped.

What? Is she up for reelection next go round? She was one of the first that rolled out the ‘red’ carpet for Bama and dumped Hillary early last year. And when she decides to take on the ACORN army for filling the voter registrations with fake registrants then she might get my attention.
See she is the one with Bama’s support that claims ownership of this supposed rule... We shall see how far this supposed questioning goes, actually I am expecting one of those pay to play transactions for the state of MO. Who knows who needs what for next campaign cycle.

Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill has become the first Democrat to question the White House over the firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin. Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill has become the first Democrat to help Obama explain away why he ended an investigation into massive fraud and corruption by independent inspector general Gerald Walpin by accusing him of gross incompetence

Must’ve hit her head on something, I figure.

She probably waited until the administration had their answer ready. A: Walpin is too old. (Old Confused White Guy Syndrome = He ain't a Playa)

Speaking for myself, it may be that the Democrats are realizing they are going to be dragged down with Obama and then they will have to get a real job.

OOpsie....
Sen. Claire McCaskill is a woman and not man.
It doesn’t really matter does it? They are all the same. They are all crooks.

This does appear to be tied in with ACORN and related groups. Money was being laundered through Americops into community organizing groups.

Yes, and the only time it seems a liberal complains about rules is when they are not getting their appropriate cut. And Claire did go against 'conventional wisdom' way early in the political game for Bama.

Kinda like John Conyers investigation of ACORN. ACORN must have caved to his demands pretty quickly.

The IG was on FOX Business last night and I watched his interview. He is an articulate well respected attorney. Judge Napolitano knew him from his profession life and expressed how qualified he was for the job.
The IG says he was given the 30 days administrative leave once Grassley wrote about the failure to abide by the law regarding his firing but he was put out of his office, his e mails turned off and all of his work taken away from him. (he is like under house arrest).
I am sure Barry does not want this to go to a p contest between him and the IG so he is going to end run it as best he can. The firing coming from one of his “special counsels” is even more egregious as Craig is not in the IG chain of command. This thing smells and the fact they put him out of his office means they do not want any airing of the matters he was involved in (the larger involved NY and an 80 million program he questioned too). I hope Fox keeps the heat on because none of the other networks will do anything about it as they are too busy kissing Barry's ass.

If only Republicans showed as much determination. . . And of what political party is Grassley?
To: Mouton
He was on Fox and Friends Tuesday morning and said he received word from the White House over the phone while he was driving.
Didn't even have the stones to tell him face to face. Geez.
