U.N. protocol used to regulate homeschoolers

A British plan to allow local authorities "the right of access to the home" and "the right to speak with each child alone" in order to evaluate homeschooling families and make certain they do what the government wants is a warning about what could happen in the United States, according to the world's largest homeschool advocacy organization.

"On June 11, 2009, a report on home education in England by Graham Badman, a former Managing Director of Children, Families and Education in the County of Kent, was accepted in full by the British Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families," according to today's report from the Home School Legal Defense Association.

"The report makes the case that homeschooling should be extensively regulated in England," the HSLDA continued. "Aside from registering with the state and mandating reports by homeschoolers, the Badman report makes references to balancing the rights of parents with the rights of children. This idea is expressed in the UNCRC."

That is the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, a document that the HSLDA has been warning about for a number of years already.

It has been adopted in the United Kingdom, and it is on its way toward approval in the United States, lacking mainly the approval of two-thirds of the U.S. Senate.

The document, however, grants dozens of "rights" to children, sometimes running roughshod over conflicting parental rights, the organization said.

Because with all the horrible things going on, homeschooling represents the biggest threat. A nuclear North Korea and Iran has nothing over the dangers homeschoolers.

Home Schooling is a threat and a danger to Obama and our entrenched Political elite.
Home schoolers have not been taught that everything they need in life comes from the Government and that they are dependent upon the Government if they are to survive

My home schooled niece, who entered college honors courses at 16, graduated as one of the 10 green robes (highest honors) out of hundreds at the ceremony at the age of 18 last week, (yes, she’s already got an college AA degree at 18) and had every major college and university she applied to begging for her to come.
Oh the horrors of home schooling.....

See? This is a threat to the education establishment. It shows what clods they are.

Surveys show that American kids get dumber with each grade they move on to, compared to foreign kids.

the right to speak with each child alone

What RIGHT does government have, to speak with any child alone?

What RIGHT does government have, to speak with any child alone?

If the government isn't allowed to speak privately with the child, how will they be able to badger the child into testifying that their parents are abusing them? Any child can be induced to say anything you want if you keep after them long enough. This was demonstrated when Janet Reno was Florida's state attorney and several innocent people were convicted of child abuse on children's testimony alone. Unrestricted and unmonitored interviews would be very helpful to the government in taking home schooled children away from their parents.

You will notice that I gave the government the benefit of the doubt by not mentioning that speaking alone to the child would also be opportunities for abuse, as well.

Note to all US homeschoolers:

Coming soon if you continue to avoid fighting for conservative values in the public schools.

You might be able to shield your child now, but when the public schools are free to push their socialism on the VAST MAJORITY of future voters, free from conservative dissent, the battle is lost. It won't matter what your kids were raised to believe, they'll be outnumbered at the ballot box.

The time to fight is now. The places to fight are the state legislature, the school board meeting, the parent-teacher conference, and the public classroom itself.
