Perhaps, but his nation is Russia, and he isn't deliberately destroying his own country and people to enrich himself (as our business and political leaders have been doing for two decades).
Foreign are less a threat to US citizens than the traitors among us.
I would wholeheartedly disagree with your assessment of Putin, and previous generations of Russian leadership. They have been destroying and looting with wild abandon.
I would add that we are threatened by enemies foreign and domestic, as that old saying goes :(
