After being briefed today on President Obamas firing last week of Gerald Walpin, Inspector General of the Corporation for National and Community Service, Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., said the president did not abide by the same law that he co-sponsored and she wrote about firing Inspectors General.
The White House has failed to follow the proper procedure in notifying Congress as to the removal of the Inspector General for the Corporation for National and Community Service, McCaskill said. The legislation which was passed last year requires that the president give a reason for the removal.
McCaskill, a key Obama ally, said that the presidents stated reason for the termination, Loss of confidence is not a sufficient reason.
She added that she was hopeful the White House will provide a more substantive rationale, in writing, as quickly as possible.

well, at least the blogs are covering a major scandal. The media is too busy trying to dig dirt on Rush Limbaugh.
The Chicago way does not pay attention to any law.
Jake Tapper. One of the very few MSM journalists worth his salt.

Does a “co-sponsor” actually have to “read” the Bill?
The law also says the President must give his (good) reason to Congress at least 30 days BEFORE trying to fire an IG. Come on, Claire! You want more than a pathetic “reason”. The One totally bulldozed through the law.

Besides the fact that Obama has once again been proven a liar and fraud, the other thing that this story should tell us is that Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo, appears to be very vulnerable right now. Who are we running against her in 2010?
this is obvious. will the dems do anything about it? hell no.
McCaskill is an idiot if she thinks that the Obama Administration has any intention of following the law if it doesn’t suit their purposes. Moreover, since they think that they are immune from any threat from the electorate, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Wow, huge story there. The reporter who discovers what brand of underwear Obama wears will probably get the Pulitzer Prize.
Just post a rumor that The First Thug wears Winnie The Pooh Underoos and watch Chrissy Matthews have a literal orgasm live on TV.
And Bam Bam was just chuffed with himself
"Obama is the law. The law is Obama." You may now return to your previously sceduled programming "Obama is present. The present is Obama"
