Yes it actually is, Why do you reject it as so? It’s not like science exactly has definitively proven it inacurate.
My point was if you don’t believe God’s account in Genesis when He preforms’ miracles, then why should you believe other parts when He prefoms miracles..!
Sorry, I wasn't attacking you. I was just stating some deficits I noticed that inspired discussion with my son.
Plan your visit for late spring or summer! There is a large garden outside. We went in February and it was cold. In nice weather, it seems like it would be a beautiful spot to relax awhile and have a snack.
Thanks..., I like getting all these recommendations for going there. A lot of times you go to a place you’ve never been before and you have no idea what to expect. It’s nice to hear from others on it.
You said to another FReeper — My point was if you dont believe Gods account in Genesis when He preforms miracles, then why should you believe other parts when He prefoms miracles..!

Yeah, there’s *no basis* for just selecting one part to accept while rejecting the other parts — other than the basis of “just because I say so...” ... LOL...
And that’s about it.
It’s either all true or it’s all false...
—
[... and we do see the ample evidence for it all being true, in the things that we are able to check and verify. God has given us prophecy that has been fulfilled, too, besides the evidences that we’ve been able to directly confirm, in history and archeology...]

No, Genesis is not literally true. The creation accounts have been accepted as allegory by all but a small minority of adherents. That which you call creation science is nothing more than a collection of disjointed anecdotes that serve as rationalization for the truth of Genesis.
Most Christians, myself included, know that evolution is perfectly compatible with Christianity.
It was quite rude of you not to ping me to your comment, as you are accusing me, personally, of not wanting answers. All of us here are capable of seeking out all kinds of information, yet when someone makes an assertion we demand that they back it up. I hold museums to the same standard. Fuller information can only help their credibility.
I realize you’re not “most”... in that sentence... :-)
But, it is true for most...
LOL indeed. I have a hard time believing that any real scientist with an understanding of evolution theory would find anything in this sideshow to worry about. I don't suppose you can point us to this news report, could you? It wouldn't have been from Answers in Genesis or some similar source, would it?
I was just reporting from what I read. I sometimes think that I should perhaps catalog, index and categorize every single thing that I read and build some fancy system here, to go back and locate it all again ...
But, then again, I realize I’m too lazy to do all that work... LOL...
Actually, it was more the realization that I would spend two hours reading and then 10 hours indexing and cataloging and categorizing and maintaining...

I can only tell you what I remember... and for that I would just have people take it whatever way they want. It doesn’t really make that much difference anyway... :-)
I don't agree. I think God did a wondrous thing when He gave us families. When God seems confusing, it helps me to look at things from the role of a daughter, spouse or mother. An example is the Prodigal Son. The treatment of the returning son seemed most unjust when I had only been someone else's child. It makes more sense to me now that I am a parent.
As a parent who is often called upon to explain complex things to children, I tell my children the truth. But I don't always give them all the details, and I'm not always exact. Sometimes those things aren't necessary for them to get the point I really want to make. Extra information is often distracting. That doesn't mean that what I have said is a lie.
Whenever the Bible seems to be contradicted by truth or my own natural common sense, I assume the error is mine. I'm confident God will straighten me out someday.
Did someone at the museum offer to come over and part it?
A typical liberal point of view. Always projecting the flaws of their own heart onto others.
The people who would thank God every day if they did not already have another god (themselves) are the far left leaders of the Democrat party. The Big Government worshippers are the ones who love the Big Government Public Schools, run top down from the far left NEA.
The worst of the far left love Darwin and hate the Bible.
Yup....liberals project-alot. And you nailed it, evolution is the liberal position.
And think of all the rubes fooled by left wing NEA lunatics taking public money from global warming to public education!
Liberalism is a disease.
Actually it is, and the science is the same wether it comes from a creationists viewpoint or an evoutionists.
You do not have to be a Christian to believe in a literal 6 days, however this is the correct interpretation because it is the most simple (as well as was refered to by the Apostles, Prophets and Jesus as true)..it was not taken as “allegory” then!
The science points to a six day creation more so than gradual (or even “explosive”) evolution over time.
You do not have to be a Christian to believe in a literal 6 days,
Excuse me This should say “You do have to believe in a literal 6 days to BE a Christian”.
“The science points to a six day creation more so than gradual (or even explosive) evolution over time.”
Pure rationalization! No one, NO ONE with any common sense let alone scientific credibility can say that with a straight face.
I respect faith. Just don’t confuse it with fact by saying that science (which you reject) actually supports it.
Evolution and Christianity are perfectly compatible.
You do have to believe in a literal 6 days to BE a Christian
I am and I don’t. Most Christians don’t.
so you were conned.
Ever thought of doing the math yourself to see it it's vice or versa. For the record it's versa. Which raises the point that why would anyone not brain dead accept a rationalization that required the ancient Israelis to measure the inside circumference of a 15' bowl?
Do you have a problem with God, or is it just Christians that you ridicule?
