I am inferring by this article that we are talking about the old SAT score with the 800 max.

Note just signing your name and getting up from the exam will earn you a 250 so how the hell can you get into an ACADEMY with a 300?

That part almost got me too, but the author said "minimum SAT scores of 600 on each part" which means 600 verbal and 600 math for a total of 1200.
