Sorry, I was disagreeing with your assessment that Crosby is a good captain.

Finally! Someone who can carry a serious discourse without getting overly emotional about it all.
While I do admit he might be a little young to captain a team (I myself would want someone who has more "been there and done it" experience) - hey! They chose him! (says alot about "democracy" as compared to a "republic", huh?)

What is it that makes you think Crosby isn't yet ready to captain a team? They did win a Stanley Cup!

Crosby is too young, lacks experience, and lacks wisdom, that's why I laugh at them for making him the captain. I'll bet you that it wasn't much of an election, but rather Mario probably "suggested" that they pick him. Who would I have picked? Not sure... maybe Gill, Talbot, or Orpik.
I had no dog in this hunt, as my team wasted a great season by sucking in the first round.
Who was the better team? The Red Wings. Who should have won the Conn Smythe, even in a losing effort? Chris Osgood.
Given the way the game was officiated (or lack of), the Ducks would have beaten the Penguins, since they have more goons.
