What is it with the UK and the abortion-crazy doctors? Seems that at least once or twice per week, we read of doctors telling mothers to abort their baby(s) for one reason or the other. Is it the socialize medicine system that is trying to ration the care? An abortion, I am sure, is less expensive than care for a premature or developmentally disabled baby.
Still - quite disgusting.
It's not just UK doctors. Doctors in the US tell woment this, too. One doctor told me that he had to "give them that option" to prevent being sued. If something is wrong with one of the babies and the parents were not told that the risks of multiple prenancy could be reduced by reducing the number of babies, they could sue the doctor.
