Count me out. Beginning with the Don Imus affair, I became fed up with these campaigns to “fire people.” Letterman may be a scumbag but he is entitled to his opinion (as was Imus).
Joking about the statutory rape of a 14-year-old passes for opinion nowadays?
Agreed, not for some of us to join the baying of the crowd. Again, it is their right to do so of course. What should be considered is that the likes of Letterman and indeed Maher, expose a whole mentality . Only by watching them and noting what they say can we reveal to others just what that mentality is.
It is the left wing politics of denigration and indeed hate of a certain kind. It might take a master in psychology to give a complete idea of what drives these men. For myself, with what I have observed over too many years, I would say that such men are basically unhappy men.
Let them keep on talking and see them eventually destroy themselves, or find religion or something then join the human race.
Pardon the old sermon.
Just as you are. . .humm
