I always laugh at them with my eyes, while making a "subtle" joke at their expense, if possible. My favorite these days is in reference to nationalizing healthcare. Usually something to this effect, "I know I say to myself each day that I wish I didn't have this stinking group insurance I have now and that I was on Medicare. Age 65 can't come soon enough for me."
