Tom Selleck, Jane Seymour, Lucy Liu, and hundreds of other friends and family members turned out to say goodbye to David Carradine at his funeral in Los Angeles Saturday evening.

Held in a chapel on the grounds of Forest Lawn Cemetery, guests arrived all manner of dress, including kilts, Native American headdresses, leather fringe jackets, sandals and multi-colored cowboy boots. Even a group of Hell's Angels was there to bid goodbye to the actor, who was found dead in his hotel room in Bangkok on June 4.

A white hearse containing Carradine's casket arrived at the cemetery around 3 p.m., accompanied by an escort of Hell's Angels on motorcycles. The service started about two hours later after an estimated 400 people filed into a chapel on the grounds of the 400-acre cemetery to mourn the star, who was best known for his leading role of Kwai Chang Caine on TV's Kung Fu.

Following the service, a group of Lakota tribal members burned incense outside the chapel and gave blessings to a number of funeral-goers.

Sadly, these nitwits hold a lot of influence over children.

Sigh.

What have Tom Sellect and Jane Seymour done? Tom Sellect was one of Reagan’s Hollywood supporters.

That’s Selleck, with a k on the end. He’s an NRA board member, too. Jane Seymour is married to Stacy Keach’s brother whatsisname, who did at least one movie with David Carradine. Why shouldn’t they be polite to a long-time Hollywood figure, even if he was a goofball?

I guess you’ll just have to excuse these people for attending the funeral of a friend.

I don’t begrudge him his funeral just for how he died. Every human being should be mourned when their time comes. I just pray that he was welcomed into Heaven by God, our Father.

RIP

Just a pity he leaves such an exclamation point for his end.

Lots of these people aren't "friends" they're there to celebrate the way he died. It's a way of giving the finger to traditional families. If he had died saving a child from being run over, the Hell's Angels would NOT have been there.

Rest in Peace David.

As with Elvis, I refuse to get entangled with the manner of an entertainer’s death. Seems a morbid fixation.

David Carradine gave us great entertainment in his roles in Kung Fu and Kill Bill.

That is enough for me to tip my hat and wish Godspeed to David.

May he rest in peace and his family find comfort...and answers.

Hmmmm.... a real whodunnit, with 72-year-old man found in Bangkok hotel room with cords wrapped around his body, unfortunately including his neck.

The English daily “The Nation” of Bangkok reports:

No Carradine suicide, expert says

Carradine’s brothers, Keith and Robert Carradine, each read part of a prepared statement to reporters at a Los Angeles hotel on Thursday morning. In their first appearance since their older brother was found hanging in a Bangkok hotelroom closet last week, they thanked supporters and asked for privacy.

“This is a devastating loss for our family, and we greatly appreciate the compassion pouring in from all over the world,” Keith Carradine said.

They also released a statement by Dr Michael Baden of New York that indicated that a second autopsy determined Carradine had not killed himself.

I believe his character “Caine” was a GOOD influence on kids of my generation. He did some good. His personal life is HIS personal life.

May God bless him.

I have no idea....it didn’t interest me that much. I did read that there was no violence evident......just the sexual implications of what happened and that he couldn’t have been alone. Of course, my own personal experience with the media tells me that they sometimes sensationalize things to sell papers.....the truth might be too boring and uninteresting.

What have Tom Sellect and Jane Seymour done?

Jane Seymour can do pretty much anything she wants and be OK with me.

Murder theory ‘unbelievable’
By The Nation
Published on June 10, 2009

Carradine’s an ex-wife revealing that the late actor liked to tie himself up and enjoyed his kinky moments.

Ongoing attempts by Hollywood star David Carradine’s relatives to link his death to secret kung fu sects might have been intended to protect the late actor’s name, a Thai official said yesterday.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official said Carradine’s reputation could be hurt if an official investigation concluded he died of a sex game that went wrong.

“This is a big star. He is famous worldwide,” the official said.

Carradine, 72, was found dead at a Bangkok hotel earlier this month. Reports suggest he might have accidentally killed himself during an attempted auto-erotic asphyxiation.

However, his family has lately suggested he might have been murdered for his investigation into deadly underground martial arts organisations.

His ex-wife Marina Anderson, has disputed the suggestion, telling the New York Post, “If he was involved in secret societies, it was a secret that even I didn’t know about.”

In divorce papers, Anderson claims Carradine regularly pestered her to take part in “deviant” sex games during their marriage.
