I think this is an intelligent and decent statement from this man, and I’m not sure why there are negative comments about it on this thread.

As for who thinks he is a hero, I am sure the skinhead types do.

Exactly...The statement should be more than sufficient to appease anyone...This family did not support their father's racist ideas and lifestyle...They suffered for it...

Now they are suffering for the final act of his life thru no fault of their own...Sounds full of remorse and sorrow for the victim's family...

Nothing more they can do...

I agree. Clearly the son has the moral compass to distance himself from his father’s vile, extremist views.
