Wouldn’t Grape Juice do the same thing?

I’ll get some red wine for my beach trip. I hope it works. :^)

Doubt it, fermentation has a big impact on antioxidants. Not to mention it just tastes better fermented. :->

I think it comes from the grape skins, which are not there in the juice. I think the wine making process includes pulverizing the skins, and that’s how the wine gets the goos stuff.

MIT researchers sold their Resveratrol start up company in either 2007 or early 2008 for $750 million. The story was on 60 Minutes earlier this year (one of the few times I've watched 60 Minutes in years). I think one of the quotes was one would need to drink 10,000 bottles of red wine to get the equivalent amount of Resveratrol in one tablet.

Why wouldn’t you get it by eating grapes?

RESVERATROL is the effective ingredient. It chelates out
free iron and blocks absorption. It is the extra iron that causes the heart attacks and downstream metabolic disorders.

10,000 bottles of wine worth of resveratrol in one tablet huh.
Surely such a quantity can’t have any ill effects, can it???

Plus he multiplied bread and fish. The bread must be whole wheat and fish is excellent for eyesight with omega 3. HE knew how to eat right..:)

Grape juice would include some of the good stuff, but apparently, the fermentation process, combined with skins and alcohol clean up the circulatory system from plaque and act as a antioxidant.
Other “adult” beverages have similar properties but not at the same level as red wine.
