Just got done watching most of this hearing (led by Congressman Stupak) - The presidents of GM and Chrysler flanked by six or seven "terminated" dealers, being questioned by ten or so very mad and frustrated Congressmen - dramatic and electrifying, and some very sad and outrageous stories (one dealer who was at one hundred and fifty percent of his sales quota and a perfect five rating for customer satisfaction closed, while one with an inadequate one rating remains open) - hearings touch on political manipulation in some of the closings, lack of communication and planning from the companies, and pecularities of funding of the dealerships - fascinating and informative viewing....

Scheduled for replay this morning at about 2:50 AM EDT on C-Span.......

Well if these dealers really were pushing the metal out the door and were profitable, I’d expect the Korean car companies will take this as an opportunity to expand their reach.

Why are you surprised? Communism and Socialism always punish efficiency and success while rewarding incompetence and mediocrity.
