SACRAMENTO, June 12 (UPI) -- Neighbors of a former California legislator now in Congress say her house in Sacramento has become a potentially dangerous eyesore. Laura Richardson, a Democrat with a Los Angeles-area district, bought the three- bedroom house in an upmarket neighborhood when she was elected to the state Assembly in 2006. A neighbor told the Los Angeles Times the house was neglected even before she won a special election to Congress in 2007.
Sean Padovan, who lives next door, said he offered to cut the grass for Richardson, showing up at the door with his hand lawnmower, and got not response.
"I wouldn't want anyone that irresponsible to represent me," said John Bailey, another neighbor. "What I don't get is how she has the time to visit with Fidel Castro but doesn't have time for her own house. If you can't manage your own household, you probably shouldn't get involved in international affairs."
Neighbors say the house looks abandoned with peeling paint. They have been trying to keep the yard in shape, arranging for mowing and watering to prevent weeds from growing up and drying out to become a fire hazard.
Sounds like she should be investigated if she actually lives in the district or if she just bought the house for the address and lives somewhere else.
Lying, stealing, deceiving, and fraud are not wrong in criminal party democrat eyes.
Isn’t this the same congresswoman who filed bankruptcy or went through foreclosure or something?
That is what the rats and RINOs have in common with Islam.
But the campaign sign on the right reads, MONDALE.
yup. it’s not ‘rats and ‘pubs anymore. it’s gambinos and genoveses
Doesn’t she get ‘Curb Appeal’ out there? Those 2 mismatched windows on the 2nd floor are crying for a designer.
Perhaps that’s why the Rats don’t believe the mooselimbs want to kill them, all of them if they could. The mooselimbs can rest assured that the RAts don;t want to kill them, even their most radical members, just put them in prison for various length ‘time outs’.
This is why it doesn’t look that bad.

Personally, if I were the neighbors, I’d let the place go to hell and let the city ‘condemn’ it.
Cute little place.
Again, common sense from average Americans...sigh...
Nice door though. Could be a really pretty place. What would it take to mow that lawn? Maybe 5 minutes tops? Somewhere there’s an unemployed kid looking for a lawn to cut.
Looks like a great project for AmeriCorps (ACORN)
She’s not paying for it—just as she hasn’t paid for many other houses—so why in the world would she cut the grass. Or have it painted.
