Sorry to insult your queen, jla.
I like her as much as anyone, but she spoke extremely fast when describing the Alaskan oil project. But she did fine in the other discouse.
You really need to get a grip on reality. She’s just human, OK, and stating that she spoke a little rapidly is not an attack. I would guess that the majority of the audience did not understand what she was saying on that topic, and it would be to her advantage to slow it down a little. We ALL talk too fast at times.
I am an American. Last time I looked this country was a Republic, not a Monarchy. Thus, I have, nor recognize, any queens, kings, or other members of royalty. Though I admit to an attraction to Princess Mette-Marit of Norway.
Now, back to your initial post. You statement was inane, as well as inaccurate, and you know this. It does not mean that you are inane, but in the least you could be an adult and state, 'OK, I posted without really thinking', rather than taking a sophomoric shot at me.
You have got it right, Joann. By the time the interview was over, the part about Alaska pipeline was lost. The whole point was for NBC Matt Lauer to put CBS Letterschmuck in a bad light and his ratings in the toilet. That was the only reason he appeared to cave to Sarah somewhat.
She made good points in re-framing the issue as an attack on the purity of young women and integrity of our culture. I just don’t think she necessarily rose in public esteem via this interview, although it was reassuring to those who already like her. It was a no-lose, no-win situation.
I’m a little late in responding, but the “talk too fast” is alas something you have to do in this type of interview since you are under such time restrictions. i understood her just fine.
