There was a topic about this yesterday that gave background, basically, people posting (often) anonymous comments that were not in favor of overtaxing by gov’t would be (potentially) identified under a subpeona — and for no reason that has anything to do with the previously existent case.
Yes, I read through that thread too, but not in it’s entirety...
On post #20, this was said “...The Constitution grants certain powers and privileges...”
I believe (but could be wrong) the context of the post is about freedom of speech, press...and my reply has to do with “the people” being protected from the govt, so that we may protest, may speak our opinions in public etc, without retaliation from the govt.
I thought it was power granted to the govt, and the bill of rights and constitution were created by the people to protect us from the govt.....
Or limits the power of the govt..
