‘Why should Sarah be on the defensive?’
I don’t know. You tell me. I didn’t say that Sarah should be on the defensive.
I hope you’re right. I don’t hold out much hope to those people who still get their news from the MSM. My own mother didn’t like Sarah’s “grating voice”.
Read carefully. When one is being questioned, one is on the defensive. Got it?
Agree. Shrug off Letterman. Drop any insinuations about it being a “rape” joke. Just write it off as lazy and despicable.
“I just do it to piss off liberals.....is it working Matt?
That sounds like the sort of thing Ann Coulter would say.
She has become a lightening-rod for the left - she can't continue to be a punching bag for them and do herself or
Conservativatism any good.
Time to take the offensive - we have had enough hits. Nuclear should be on the table.
She's being interviewed in large part because of the pipeline. That's newsworthy in itself, and it doesn't matter if you think Lauer is a douchebag. If she wants to run for President, she's going to have to do these appearances. Sorry but them's the rules.
Sarah can hold her own. The problem with the interviews during the election is McLame’s people had her heavily coached on what she was or wasn’t allowed to say. She will need to be able to kick a** at this for 2012.
I will still refuse to watch the Today show... But I will look for a recap!
She is a fool if she goes through with it.
Well, being McCain's VP she probably was told to make an appearance. I don't think she had a choice in the matter.
‘Read carefully. When one is being questioned, one is on the defensive. Got it?’
So everyone who ever gets interviewed on TV is automatically on the defensive? That’s your opinion, don’t expect others to automatically follow that line of thought. And, as far as how Lauer SHOULD be interviewing Letterman according to you, you should write to the Today show and make that suggestion. In the mean time, this thread is about Sarah Palin being interviewed by Matt Lauer. And, since she just backed up all of her talk about developing domestic sources of energy with a major, historical accomplishment regarding the development of domestic sources of energy, I believe she should take advantage of the opportunity to discuss her achievement in front of a large audience instead of hiding out and hoping that Matt Lauer decides to fight her fight with David Letterman.
Where the heck have you been? Palin has been lighting up this administration and calling out Zero's socialism. She's virtually the only Republican talking about the massive spending and North Korea.
Exactly, Palin should have learned from the campaign not to talk to such biased people as him.
You betcha!
Like someone else said, she needs to mainly stick with what is going on in Alaska, and any other political issue she needs to get out there with what her take is.
And dismiss the Letterman junk with just a few well placed words.
Matt Lauer will be concentrating on triping her up and will want to talk mainly about the dustup that Letterman has caused so he can make her look bad in any way he can.
She better be ready for all the ambushes and slick jabs that Katie Lauer is famous for. I mean Matt Couric. Or whatever, they are cut from the same cloth.
It’s a rule to be interviewed 3.5 years before a general election on the Today show? I gotta see this rule book, please post. Thanks in advance.
You’re right, now is a great time to do this interview to highlight her recent success. Hopefully, she can steer the interview away from Letterman at least a good portion of the time. While I’m not a fan of Lauer, Sarah’s last interview with him turned out pretty well, as I remember. I think many here are not giving her enough credit ... I think she’ll do great.
I’m wondering this time if Matt believes that the get is more important than the gotcha.
