He probably would prefer the Navy to carry machetes like his fellow countrymen do in Kenya.

I read the article...it made me physically ill! When I was in boot camp, it was a proud moment when I was entrusted with the Cutlass as RCPO of my company. I was enlisted all the way, 30 years, and never once did I consider ANY action against my Commander-in Chief. I am heart-sick that this action has been taken against Officers I could have served under. Obama has not gained my trust as POTUS and never will. 2012m can’t come soon enough for me and mine.

Swords are not worn at USNA graduations - either by the graduates being commissioned in the Navy (who are not required to buy swords) or by those commissioned as Marines (who are required to purchase swords).
This story is much ado about nothing.

The Muslim in the White House is familiar with what muzzies do with swords. His narrow mind can't see beyond beheading.

If you follow the comments to Soldier of Fortune they talked to the Naval Academy and cleared this all up. The story is not true.

The stuff of Obama nightmares. The original article said that umbrellas were banned too. Wonder if senators are allowed umbrellas in his presence?

Perhaps because he knows it isn't (and by the grace of God, never will be)
his military?
On the other paw, Mutt-chelle's "Public Allies" gang + ACORN + tens of thousands of imported MidEastern Mohammedans + the New Black P*ssies = his very own Ordnungspolizei, a.k.a. the infamous "well-armed civilian national security force."

I remember shortly ago when Present Obama made his Muslim Appeasment Tour there was a picture of him walking with his Islamic friends and there was a guy in front of them with a long long sword drawn and held up in front of him.
But then those are his close buddies, nothing to fear from them.
President "Cowboy" Bush had no problem with swords, he just took them from the muslims and laughed at them!
Now this guy, "Present" Obama, has his own version of a sword... and he rides it!
