That's because people living in cities are blinded by light pollution.

I live way out in the country, far away from any source of light pollution.

The night sky is amazing. there's always meteors streaking across the sky. Sometimes you get lucky and see a larger one put on a good show.

We *use* to live in the country. Civilization has nearly consumed us.

I would love to move to New Mexico or southwest Texas.
