my husband and i are both lawyers. he hadn’t heard about the letterman brouhaha til we saw them talking about it on Oreilly last night. my husband went ballistic, instantly screaming about him joking about statutory rape. we have a 14 yo daughter, same age as willow, i think he was imagining what he’d do to letterman, were he todd palin.
maybe that’s the difference xsmommy - some freepers here have daughters and some do not.\
Some FReepers seem to think there is a big difference between rape and statutory rape.
Tha wasn’t even the worst joke, in my opinion. He also said about her “They were having trouble keeping Elliot Spitzer away from her,” also referencing the 14 year old.
Since Spitzer was known for his use of prostitutes, that joke is basically calling a 14 year old girl a prostitute!
