Former US President Jimmy Carter is planning a rare meeting with a settler leader in the West Bank this weekend.
A statement from his Carter Center said he would see Gush Etzion Regional Council head Shaul Goldstein in his West Bank home on Sunday.
Carter observed this week's Lebanese election and plans meetings in Israel and the West Bank over the weekend. In the past he has strongly backed Palestinian aspirations for a state and spoken out against Jewish settlements in the West Bank, calling them illegal and an obstacle to peace.
The statement Wednesday said Carter would also meet Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, PA Prime Minister Salaam Fayad and President Shimon Peres.
Watch out settlers! Check his jacket for any TNT.
All hell will break loose if the IDF dismantles the settlements.
Carter, you’re useless..butt out.
Ex president HE HE
Why do they even allow this asshat into their country?
Jimmy....GO HOME!
Nooooooooooo Jimbo stay there ! ! !
Now the Zero will find out what an asswhipe peanut boy is!
I am hoping he gets punked.
I think that this meeting is some sort of set up. Gush Etzion is an emotionally charged site for most Israelis. It is the site of the Jordanian massacre of 35 Jews called by most as "The 35". 35 civilian Jews were shot dead by Jordanian legionaires and dumped into a pit. The day of remembrance for the massacre is the day before the Israeli day of independance.
It is actually rather insulting that he chose to meet there.
Agreed, hence why I mentioned what I did.
The man is asking for it.
Great, Carter must be the new settler czar
