Savage: Vote Palin and get 4 more years of Obama
Heard on Savage Nation 06-09-09 | self

Posted on 06/10/2009 9:35:03 AM PDT by BornToBeAmerican

I listen to Doc Savage every now and again and agree with him most of the time.

BUT not this time. Last night he was on a rant over Sarah Palin and her possibly becoming the next US President.

He made it very clear of his disgust for her and said if Sarah got in, it would be for moree years of Obama.

How SO?????

Is not Alaska the only State in the Union that gives money back to its constituents. Has a much better Tax code and is doing everything to promote Alaska for the betterment of itself and the rest of the nation (read Gas pipeline for the lower 48) and more Drilling

This does not sound like Obama and any democrat that I know.

I am not sure what the Doc is on, but IMO he is way off base on this.

I could be wrong about this but I suspect that because Savage was born before the baby boom generation; he is like a lot of people of his generation. They were always taught that a woman could be smart or strong or attractive. She was not permitted to be all three. Palin is. Such a woman was considered a threat. JMHO

I don’t ever try to speak for others I knew about Palin way before McStupid picked her. I am a bit of a political junkie though so maybe I don’t count.

You...maybe six others. McCain, to his credit, made her known. She, to her credit, made herself well known!
Still, she's a bit of a novice when it comes to parrying with the Katie Couric types of the left-leaning government information machines...it will be interesting if she's learned any lessons from the first run.

By all means, Palin should run 3rd party, the GOP elites hate her and they will sabotage her, and in this way she may very well be of service destroying the biggest impediment to conservatism, which is the GOP.

LOL! Rrrright....that is a damned sure fire way of ensuring Obama's defeat in 2012 WHICH IS THE MAIN REASON WE'RE ALL HERE!

I do agree with Savage on one point. She needs a lot more experience and polish before she could aspire to national office.

“Savage was not specific, you had to read between the lines a bit. He did not express disgust. She simply isn’t serious. She sounds a bit like an aunt who’s had a bit too much to drink and starts spouting off on politics.”

********

Figures. I’d be curious to know exactly what he finds wrong with Palin, ya know? And who he likes, not that his opinion matters.

Who are you the resigned Jacqui Smith? If you are going to start a controversial thread putting Savage in the line of fire at least get your facts accurate, Savage said that if the Republicans 'run' Palin as the answer to Obama we will end up with 50 more years of Obama, NOT if Palin gets elected we will get 50 more years like Obama, that would be a whole different argument.

We need to learn that electing someone based on race or sex just so that party has that bragging right is wrong and dangerous.

Have we lowered the standards running for POTUS to how well the candidates come up with cute verbal jabs against their opponents and reading from a teleprompter?

Michael “Savage” Wiener is, as Bob Grant would say, “A fake, phony, fraud”.

He’s about as conservative as James Carville.

Nope, not Jacqui Smith I read your response a couple of times and I just don't see the difference>

You state to premises:

1. if the Republicans 'run' Palin as the answer to Obama we will end up with 50 more years of Obama,

I read this as Answer to a Problem is a SOLUTION. Okay, surely a solution is a good thing considering what obummer is doing to our great nation. NOT more of the same!!!>

2. if Palin gets elected we will get 50 more years like Obama, that would be a whole different argument.

Here we go with the same argument. If the Republics run Palin as a solution to the marxists mistakes of obummer, then "we will get 50 more years like obama" What is your point????? Did he NOT say, the GOP needs to run a REAL conservative.

Perhaps so, but with exponentially different levels. Savage has no containment mechanism for his self admiration.

Thanks, Michael, for that glowing assessment. I’ll treat that with all the gravity with which I’d treat just about any utterance coming from a Jerry Brown supporter.
