Savage: Vote Palin and get 4 more years of Obama
Heard on Savage Nation 06-09-09 | self

Posted on 06/10/2009 9:35:03 AM PDT by BornToBeAmerican

I listen to Doc Savage every now and again and agree with him most of the time.

BUT not this time. Last night he was on a rant over Sarah Palin and her possibly becoming the next US President.

He made it very clear of his disgust for her and said if Sarah got in, it would be for moree years of Obama.

How SO?????

Is not Alaska the only State in the Union that gives money back to its constituents. Has a much better Tax code and is doing everything to promote Alaska for the betterment of itself and the rest of the nation (read Gas pipeline for the lower 48) and more Drilling

This does not sound like Obama and any democrat that I know.

I am not sure what the Doc is on, but IMO he is way off base on this.

“Well afterall it is Memorex Wednesday, Savage mentioned yesterday on his show that this UK banning thing has affected him deeply, he can’t go out on his boat with Teddy and enjoy himself anymore, a poster on yesterday’s thread says that Savage appears nervous when out in public, it’s a shame a patriotic citizen like Savage can’t even peacefully enjoy the fruits of his own labor anymore in his own country thanks to all the enemies within.
He’s a walkin’ bullseye, I’m surprised he even goes out in public without a disguise, he really needs to be more careful more than ever now. He also mentioned he was having eye trouble yesterday, that doing the show was not worth going blind, that’s another factor why he left early yesterday.

With the attacks on Savage by the left and the lack of support for him from the right, his failing health and probably his failing ratings, what impetus is there for Savage to continue putting his neck out there on the line? Sadly, looks to me like the writing is on the wall for Savage to finally hang it up after a successful radio career, and who could hardly blame him? “

It would be a real shame if Savage got off the radio.

You indeed have your priorities mixed up, as someone who supports the likes of Guliani and Romney and likes radio hosts like Hugh Hewitt who supported the outrageous Amnesty for illegals, I really don't think you should be one to talk..........

I disagree with Savage about 99% of the time, but I am only 50% in disagreement here if his point is that she can't win and Obama would be re-elected.

A lot of people can't get beyond their own personal love for a politician to get to the reality. I see Palin as being loved by a number of people, but not enough for her to win the presidency, for reasons we've gone over repeatedly.

Is not Alaska the only State in the Union that gives money back to its constituents. Has a much better Tax code and is doing everything to promote Alaska for the betterment of itself and the rest of the nation (read Gas pipeline for the lower 48) and more Drilling

None of which would move Americans to vote her into the presidency.

We keep forgetting that though someone looks good on paper, and we just KNOW they SHOULD win...they often as not don't win.

To even discuss this is bait for the flamers, which is too bad--we're never going to defeat the socialists if we can't have a serious, honest discussion about reality vs. perception.

name ONE other far left idiot Savage has given money to besides Brown.

He and son gave money to the left wing mayor of SF, etc.

Weiner is not a conservative. If you enjoy listening to
a Liberal supporter, just list him as a liberal supporter
then you are being honest.

I'm not defending Savage's donation to Brown, that was bad enough in and of itself, but for you to say that there were other left wing idiots that Savage has donated to is simply not true. (whatisthetruth)

Savage likes Brown for whatever odd reason, he does not like Newsom and has never given him money, another un-truth on your part, do you always have a problem with 'truth'?

Weiner is not a conservative.

See post #135. Savage has more in common with FR than you may want to give him credit for.

*more in common with FR than you may want to give him credit for.*

Don’t doubt it. There are many loons on FR who are 9/11 truthers, hate Israel, some posters have said they would rather have Obama again than a RINO,
Loons all.

Well of course considering how you have told 2 outright lies concerning Savage, I would have to wonder if maybe the pot is calling the kettle black when you’re painting others as ‘loons’.

Yes, he is.

But he's an idiot with a pack of idiots hanging on his every mumble and snarl.

That makes him just marginally irritating. If he had several million more listeners, his opinion would be almost carry some weight. Almost.

Thanks for the honest reply. Can't join you with the Huckabee, not only do I think he's a rino, if you think the media will have a field day with Palin, wait till they get a preacher in their sights. He'll get a pass until he wins the ticket, then they will destroy him in the general. McCain is perfect example of how the media treats people it WANTS to win the republican ticket, and then how they treat them when they actually run against a dem. I was a huge Newt fan despite the divorcing the sick wife thing, I've learned better than to judge based on outside appearances of a divorce. I married my second wife (18 years now) 2 months after my divorce. Everyone just KNEW I had her on the side, I never meet her until I was in my divorce. So you just never know. But he lost me when he was running the global warming ads with Queen Nancy. I will NEVER vote for him. We either get a no kidding around conservative or I change parties. I've reached a point in my life were I'd rather LOSE fighting for whats right the win with a rino. I'll consider Sanford, maybe jendal, but I'll spend money and time on Palin. If you don't think Palin has strength, you haven't been paying attention. Nobody has ever been attacked like she has. I also don't think experience will get us out of this mess. Only one thing will work, PRINCIPLES! I'm tired of people that will sell there moma for an extra vote. I want to KNOW what the next president will do in any given situation because they have principles and they stick to them.
Sorry for the long post, thanks again for your thoughtful response.

“I supported Huckabee who was demonized for his son while Palin gets a pass.”

I don’t remember Huckabee getting demonized.

Why did you support Huckabee?

I don’t know about Palin’s star rising, oh sure, she has the “cult of personality” going for her just like Obama does, but her cult will not likely grow. Even Ronald Reagan, who Palin is compared to, didn’t even win the nomination until he was well into his 60s. I think Palin is very arrogant, to first of all even believe it when people compare her to Reagan, and secondly, to try to be president when she is no where near Reagan’s years or wisdom. It’s just down right shocking. I think Savage is a hero!

When I get something into my mind it’s hard to let it go. I had a difficult time with Hillary Clinton too. I will continue to go on about Palin as long as I can. But if she gets the nomination I will vote for her. I just hope she actually earns it by the time she gets it!

IMHO,I sense Gov.Palin showed a lot class this week when she “put in his place” Dave Letterman after saying that disgusting comment about her 14-year-old daugther and NY Yankees player A-Rod. Give her credit for taking Letterman to task. A truly classy lady and a leader Gov. Palin.
