I thought he already officially came out saying he was gay.

He discusses how it was a drug-fueled epiphany at California’s “Burning Man” festival that led him to audition for American Idol. What a role model, eh?

In the interview (read a summary elsewhere) boy says he’s not a movement, but a entertainer, and his private life is nobody’s biseness.

Did the Winner come out Straight?

This is the problem with the gay movement - they seem to believe we care who they sleep with and want to push it all in our face.

Makes sense he’d get the cover here...the mag’s publisher is gay.

Hell, I stopped reading RS when I was in college.

Now it’s a rag for nihilists.

His career was over before it started. He is an unmarketable “idol”.

Lambert is a screamer and not a singer. His career will go nowhere because of lack of talent not because of his gayness.

Mediocre bland sanitized talent that make Barry Manilow seem like he has soul.

I’ve known a few gays that did not like Adam at all and cheered when Kris won.

I like Flambert but if he turns into a ranting left winger or another Perez Hilton, I’ll be done with him.

Adam says in his RS interview: “I was worried that coming out would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing. I’m an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing.”

He also said in the interview: “I’m trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader”

Now that you brought Barry Manilow up, a lot of people suspect he is gay too, but I've never read or heard him openly come out.

Wow—must have been alot of really good drugs-—or a complete lack of education concerning GEOGRAPHY!!!

Burning Man is not now , nor has it ever been in California.

It is held in Northern Nevada, In the Black Rock Desert, and now has a limit on tickets- which ain’t cheap. The Black Rock is in the middle of nowhere, and is one of the places that Land Speed Record (LSR) cars have run for records when Bonneville is too wet.

It is a total free for all with every kind of behavior you can possibly imagine.
Burning a large wooden man is the signal for the end of the party.....

AMEN.

It is nobocy’s business what Adam does in the bedroom.

He is an entertainer- and that entertainment is music.

The POS ‘Perez Hilton’ can go find his hidey-hole and crawl into it and never surface again, IMO.

I assumed the festival was in California. I must admit, I don't really keep up with where the left-wing, drug addled, hippy losers build their temporary dens of debauchery and debased activity.

I'm sure though, that people are comforted that you're on top of it.

I don’t know how he won the “young artist of the year”, seeing as he hasn’t really written any songs, on American Idol he just sung other people’s songs.

For those who are into identity politics one aspect of the person is seen as EVERYTHING, although that one aspect is just one piece of the pie. With Obama, the only thing that is relevant is the color of his skin. With Sotomayer, the only thing that is relevant is her Hispanic ethnicity. For Hillary, with much of her following, the only thing that was really important was that she was a woman. Good for Lambert for refusing to see his entire identity as wrapped up in being gay.

In the music industry “artist” refers to the performer. Songwriting is considered a craft, preforming art. Odd,huh?
