I’ve never watched his show. The one exception was when Joaquin Phoenix made that weird appearance on Letterman’s show while obviously stoned out of his mind.

If that was the sum of the joke it crosses the line of what is acceptable humor. The “joke” had 2 meanings. A-Rod the baseball player and a rod meaning you know what. Either his show needs to be Rated R prior to it’s start or he needs to just leave like Don Imus had to.

I watched the first link. I don’t see what’s so funny about it. I’m not talking about joking about raping an underage girl, I’m saying that the joke just isn’t funny. Perhaps there’s some A-Rod reference that only baseball fans/east coasters get....?

She has to think about her career. Letterman has to be given a chance to apologize, and retract, and make amends to Willow. If he doesn’t, then you take action.
Letterman was undoubtedly not aware that Willow was with the Governor at Yankee Stadium. I’m sure he was referring to Bristol.
The circumstances have made his rude comments seem much worse than they might have.
