Good point about the plentiful free food selection from the White House kitchen.
Michelle Obama doesn't appear to be skipping any meals...that dude can seriously eat!

I have been to the UK too and was amazed at just how many people wore black..And last month I was in Iceland and am on my way back and over there the locals were a lot of black too. I think black is a fairly common color to wear for both men and women. Americans tend to wear brighter colors and we do stand out..I have learned to tone it down when I am over there. Michelle thinks she is making a fashion statement and maybe will become a trend setter like JackieO or even Princess Diana were in their day. But they had taste! I guess it is something you have or don’t.
I guess Michelle and her style will at least be something for amusement.

Exactly what I was going to say....O M G
There must be affirmative action for fashion because no way a normal person would be complimented for looking like this - I guess they don’t want to hurt her little feelings.

Hillary appears downright elegant in comparison. Yeah, but can Hillary bench 450?

Hillary appears downright elegant in comparison. Maybe that's the point (and look what it's taking to accomplish that!).

restrained elegance????
It is so restrained it is non-existent! She could stand to unrestrain just a little of it.

Her taste for restrained elegance ... Wha... I missed this! When did this happen??? She usually looks like she was dressed by WalMart Fashion.

Westminster Abbey is a Church. It is a Holy place where Kings and Queens of England are buried. Also buried there are the great poets. Masses are said here throughout the day.
A little respect, please. Would she dress like that to go to the Vatican? Not that she would ever be invited.

Holy crap!
I’m going to email this to my son. Fifty bucks says he emails me back and says: “If you EVER show up in public wearing something like that, I’m going to act like I never saw you in my life.”

It looks like she took an apron and pasted on left-over wallpaper and pieces from old table cloths, potholders, and place mats.

I'm a little confused here. one would think an official hosted visit thru Westminster would call for a more respectful, slightly more formal attire that would be reflective of the occasion, rather than an outfit more obviously suited for a quick trip by a 21-yo to the morning flower market. Was Michelle 'received' and or hosted by the PM or whomever during this trip, or does she actually think she can blink and turn into just another badly-dressed tourist?
