'The ship was pitching 60ft, water was running over the decks and the wind was blowing at 70 or 80mph. How did they ever get the "Stringbags" (Swordfish) back aboard?

The carrier approached them from their 6 o'clock?

Like the time I was trying to fly an Ercoupe from San Antonio to El Paso in the spring time. Airspeed of 90 kts. Ground speed? Well after 45 minutes I was still talking to San Antonio tower, gave up, turned final half way down the rabbit lights and it still took me 3 minutes to plop it on the numbers!
