Nonsense, Newt! From beyond The Beyond, Karl Marx, Leon Trotsky, and Nikolai Lenin all agree this fellow’s a marvelous success.

Newt gave a good speech last night, no doubt. But, when push comes to shove, Newt is unstable. His political winds get too lofty for me.

I’m starting a pool for how long it will be before he retracts his statement.

Obama can give an awesome speech too
Never heard one - only the MSM believes that.
To: Captain Kirk
I beg to differ Keep on begging FRiend for those of substance like Dick Cheney will be proved to be worthy of respect via legacy.
Those who do are, those who just talk aren't.

I am not saying I agree with what he says but, IMHO, at his best (and when he has his telemprompter) he can give a well-delivered speech IMHO. In any case, with both Newt or Obama, I don’t really care about “words, words, words.” The important thing is action and, in this respect, Newt has failed repeatedly, most recently by pushing the greatest leap to socialism in decades: TARP. He is hopeless. It is all a game with him.
To: EGPWS
Again, what evidence do you have that he ever spoke out (as he did for Scooter) for TARP while veep?

The microphone is important.

Newt is a great rabble rouser, but his past support for big government, pork, TARP, and Gorebull Warming mean he can't be the leader. He is a tremendous opening act to fire up the audience and hammer the opponent, but needs to get out of the way for the headliner.
I'm not sure who that is going to be. It might be Gov Palin if she continues to walk the walk up in Alaska. If she can keep her state in the black while the country falls deeper into the red then she can run on her record.
Or it could be someone who comes out of nowhere. I hadn't heard of Newt in June of 1993, but by 1994 he had broke the back of the Democrats in congress. The first person to start scoring victories against Obama instead of just trying to minimize the defeats is going to be the leader.

The content of Obama’s speeches is invariably not the least bit awesome. Much of the content of Newt’s speech was awesome.
Those who did not hear it are being manipulated by the MSM, which has cleverly picked out a few soundbites with the expressed intent of infuriating the base. All the great things he said are going unreported.

IMO, he can't. However, repeatedly, we are TOLD he does. My ears don't deceive me but the MSM sure tries.

Newt gives great speeches. Even Christina Jeffrey, whom Newt betrayed in a most cowardly fashion, still praises Newt’s oratory.

Me neither. He’s a opportunistic, toad. Reminds me of Gollum.

The state run media are doing their state run job and are paid to deceive because propaganda works. But only works on those who are weak and choose to be deceived.
Watch the video this a.m. Newt's speech was inspiring. A few words from Sarah would have been great.

Again, it is somewhat beside the point as to whether Newt or Obama gives a well-delivered speech. You still haven’t addressed the crux of the matter: do Newt’s words translate into action?
