The Food and Drug Administration warned consumers Monday not to use skin products made by Clarcon because of high levels of disease-causing bacteria found during a recent inspection.
Clarcon Biological Chemistry Laboratory Inc. of Roy, Utah, issued a voluntary recall of some skin sanitizers and skin protectants marketed under several different brand names, the FDA said in a statement.
Consumers should not use any Clarcon products and should throw them away, the FDA said.

I also never use the kids seat area on shopping carts. Thats where the pee is.I outgrew those years ago....;)
I usually flip the seat up to keep stuff from falling out but that's a good point.
I also make it a practice to use carts that have been out in the weather, or sitting out in the sun all day. I'll bring them in from the parking lot if need be.

One thing for sure, is that I don’t really trust all those wipes that claim to be disinfectant.

MRSA is antibiotic resistant strain of staph right?
How does resistance to antibiotics = resistance to 62% alcohol?
Does not compute.

I don't know what brand it was but my son's high school class put various things into petri dishes to see bacteria growth. The hand sanitizer was the worst one!

We are creating super bugs with all these sanitizersPlease cite the research demonstrating that use of 60%+ alcohol hand sanitizers is creating super bugs.

Lysol contains 79% ethanol by weight which makes it 98.75% pure alcohol; the propellant is CO2.

I often wonder how I survived growing up as a child of 1940s-50s. Hardly anything was regulated or inspected. We got by with a little soap and water...as little as possible.

I do not have a clue as to why I thought that combination, which resembled lotion, would work on a recurring hemorrhoid.
Once I applied a dab on the button spot,it took ten minutes before I could unclench my buttocks.
I won,t go into the screaming aspect as it was not manly.
And a garden hose works very well as an emergency bidet,in case some one has a similar situation.

So that’s what one of those looks like! I was going to post something about Basha’s, glad to see you beat me to it, with a photo no less...I guess it sprays vinegar on the carts. I wonder if it makes them smell like salad?

I guess it sprays vinegar on the carts. That makes sense-vinegar is a great disinfectant. My daughter's Pug dog had an ear fungus problem, so I keep a condiment bottle filled with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. I flush out her ears (the dog) with every bath she gets and her ears stay as healthy as can be.

Thats where the pee is. Not that it makes the idea any more pleasant, but urine is sterile (unless the kid had an infection...)

That’s what I was told.
I suppose it depends on the sanitizer, like this one maybe....

It was not my intention to give too much”TMI”.I apologize.
It looked like a lotion and with my issues, seemed like a good idea at the time.
I should have drank it instead.
Unfortunately, the Wife feels like it was the funniest thing she had ever seen.
But I had good and very loyal dogs who hid at the time.
