Focus attacks on the CHARACTER of the people involved and the fascist, selfish, disgraced ideas, NOT the physical characteristics, skin color or ethnicity.
Love the sinner, hate the sin....
Pray for those in office everywhere.
I do not like the racial comments either. They are not becoming of Free Republic and frankly betray an ignorance all their own.
That said I think there is certain room for critiquing the image portrayed by the President and First lady in the world. If for no other reason, than to counter the idol worship of the media. Michelle had probably one of the ugliest dresses on I have ever seen. She shopped at a very expensive shop and brought the whole Secret Service detail with her. The TOTUS and Mrs. Obama are not honoring the dignity of the office in many ways. They are further serving to cause a lack of respect in the eyes of the youth towards America. They are also angry people and it shows.
Ridiculing them within bounds while keeping racist, violent, or profane comments out of it is in the spirit of Free Republic.
