Out of many dogs our family's had over the years, my sister had one who truly believed that she was human. One day when my sister and I were sitting on the porch, coincidentally sitting in the same pose, we laughed when we noticed Buddy sitting similarly to our stance while she looked from our legs to hers, from our arms to "hers," from our fannies to hers. She was doing her best to emulate our stance!

(After she came toooooo close to dying from parvo as a tooooo-young-pup, she imprinted to my sister instead of her mother. I'm sure that her spirit is indignant that we didn't have a formal funeral for her!)
