OK I read all the comments. In March of 1967 I bought a brand new 1967 Chevelle SS with a 396- 360 Horse engine; cost ...$3200. I was just graduating from Engineer Officer Candidate School and wanted a cool car. This was the coolest. I drove that car until 1972 when I foolishly
traded it in for a 72 Firebird Formula 400.(biggest piece of junk I ever owned.) I put 245,000 miles on that Chevelle driving around the US and Alaska. It still lives in my home town and is seen at all the car shows. btw I had it up to 150 mph in Wyoming once. Chickened out at that point.
