Once they got to Pyongyang under the closer control of the KWP there, they were probably cut some slack, but if it occured (highly likely) the damage has already been done.
Look for the DPRK to announce that they are building two new supermax prisons for female..one located right next to their missile launch base, the other on top of their underground nuclear sites..one woman to be held in each locatgion..

My solution to the problem would be for the US/Japan/SK to immediately revoke all food/$ assistance until they are released. Of course, then China would somewhat fill the gap.
