Forty years ago, patrons and supporters of the Stonewall Inn in New York City resisted police harassment that had become all too common for members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. Out of this resistance, the LGBT rights movement in America was born. During LGBT Pride Month, we commemorate the events of June 1969 and commit to achieving equal justice under law for LGBT Americans.

This means we have to look at twisted sisters parading up and down the streets all June. Why can’t they do it durning a month that has no holidays and isn’t summer?
I was happier when that kind of stuff was limited to S.F. and Hollywood. Now we’ll all have to look at it and figure out what to do with our kids so they don’t see it.

If one just examines the whole thing rationally, those people have absolutely nothing to be proud about. It’s like being proud of smoking or watching too much TV. A guy or a gal can only be proud of something that took hard work and ongoing effort and resistance, or that overcame the odds, or that (pro)created something.
