I think that whatever took place, the reason for this mystery is because of some family decision. Could have been a huge family cover-up that no one wanted known. Maybe Barack didn't even know until he started to write his book or something. (Again, the reason he is so angry with White people - they denied him the true knowledge of this to "protect" him as well as their image in the community.) Also maybe the reason his white grandmother was never around once he became a public figure is because Barack did not want this point questioned, not for political reasons, but because of the family and his personal feelings. There is some secret, obviously, and now that the White grandmother has passed, we might never know.
Good points. I think we tend to see marriage and family relationships through the lens of the present, and we don't think like the people in the 1950s/1960s did.
I recall reading at one site that BO's grandfather told him, when he was small, that he was descended from Hawaiian kings and was related to Kamehameha. I don't know the source. Who knows what else his family told him?
Dear Sir. In response to your letter of the 7th instant
the term "natural born citizen," as used in the Constitution
and Statutes of the U.S.,is held to be a native
of the U.S. The naturalization by law of a father before his child
attains the age of twenty-one would be naturalization of such minor.
Yours respectfully. T.F. Bayard.
T.F Bayard was a senator at that time. Though no doubt this will spark rebuttals, it could be argued thus. That in the case of a father NOT being naturalized by law, would therefore render a child, not being a natural born citizen. Barack Obama senior, died a Kenyan subject.
To take up another view however, it could be said that such citizenship is revoked at the age of 21 years, of such child. That could let Barack Obama off the hook. Where that law was enacted I am not with it however.
“I simply ignore all claims made by factcheck.”
Smells fishy to me.
I still think it was a coverup of his mom's somewhat . . . unconventional . . . proclivities.
Naturalized father or not, an indisputable conclusion regarding his eligibility can be found in his original birth records.
The article this thread is based on, once again, avoids the central issue of releasing his original birth records, which remain sealed by the Hawaii dept of health.
LOL!
That’s a good strategy. In my case, I have to listen to them, but only in regards to what they say about Obummer’s COLB or his BC
