Brown fat is the fat that is attached to some of your internal organs and it excels at generating body heat...iirc.

That sounds like good fat. VAT is definitely bad. It's heavily associated with diabetes, heart problems, blood pressure problems and the like but on the good side no doubt it will keep you warm until it kills you.
