The Obama administration rushed an alliance between Chrysler and Fiat despite Chrysler's worries about Fiat's financial health and its willingness to share technology, according to internal company emails.
The emails show Fiat ignoring requests for documents and trying to change contract terms late in the talks.
The documents provide a glimpse at the tense debates that shaped Chrysler's final days as it raced to find a suitor.

Fascism at it’s finest.
After owning and driving Chrysler vehicles for over 40 years, my current one is my last, a 1998 Dakota.
Chrysler has had their problems, not the least of which was Daimler and now, Obama.
I will not give my finacial support to a government who mandates closing businesses, including the Dodge Dealer I have worked at for over 19 years now.
Obama needs to go. And so do these business people who let him push them around. They are all cowards.
Wow! I’m shocked!
Too bad Glas Motors isn’t around, looks like they were ahead of their time.
Copy and paste for a view of the mid 50’s Gogomobil. Perfect today for the Liberal taste, you didn’t need a jack to change a flat in the rear. All that was required was someone to lift it by the bumper. I know, I did it.
hail socialism
I can't live long enough to see the damage done acknowledged, much less unwound and set right.
Well, at least Fiat has a lot of experience working with Fascists.
History seems to have a way of repeating itself and Mussolini didn't exactly have a happy ending.
Fiat by fiat.
Actually, I think the The State of Indiana is having problems with this. They had secured investments that came from pension plans in Chrysler and got put to the back of bus, behind the UAW.
Ask Obama about the tax money we will never get back and why the UAW comes before we do. We didn’t ask to bailout Chrysler, much less the UAW that was partially responsible for running it into the ground.
One thing about it is that Obama sure didn’t gain much by torqueing off one union to save another.
I would just as soon let them all go to “where ever”, and try and get the tax payers money back and then let the unions and debtors cry over who didn’t get paid!!!
Obama was determined to slap Chrysler and GM around.
What was his motivation?
Is it some kind of payback or payoff?
Why is he forcing both to close dealers, many of whom who are profitable?
Some dealers say their franchises have already been promised to others.
There is a hidden agenda here.
Obama needs to go. And so do these business people who let him push them around. They are all cowards

I couldn’t have said it better! In the meantime, I will not give money to anything the govt has its fingers in!
This man is abusing power right before our eyes.
Everyone ready to do something about it?
Me either.
